Chesed Tosh · Volunteer program
Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-09-15.1
Prepared for launch. The organization’s confirmed legal name and public contact information will be added before this program launches.
About this program
Chesed Tosh coordinates volunteer transportation to help patients and families reach medical care. These terms cover this website and our volunteer SMS program. This service is not emergency transportation. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
Applying to volunteer
Provide accurate contact details and a phone number you are authorized to enroll. Applying does not create a dispatcher account or guarantee approval. A dispatcher reviews every application. Activation in the volunteer SMS program requires your express SMS consent and dispatcher approval. You may submit an application without SMS consent; it remains pending until you provide consent separately. Patient assistance does not depend on joining this program or consenting to messages.
Volunteer text messages
Chesed Tosh sends recurring volunteer-related messages: ride requests, reminders, assignment updates, dispatcher communications about volunteering, and driving summaries. This consent does not include fundraising or promotional messages. Message frequency varies with volunteer activity and transportation needs. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile provider about your plan.
Your choice and consent
SMS consent is a separate, optional choice, not part of accepting these terms. We collect it through the unchecked SMS consent checkbox or through written consent retained by the organization. You can provide consent later by submitting this website's volunteer form with the same phone number and choosing SMS consent, or in writing through dispatch. A repeat submission preserves your original application details and any consent already recorded. Approval does not create consent or override an opt-out. Keep your phone information current and tell dispatch if you no longer control an enrolled number.
Stopping messages and getting help
Reply STOP to any program message to unsubscribe. You may receive a final message confirming your opt-out; further volunteer messages will stop unless you give fresh consent. Reply HELP for help; you can also contact the dispatcher who enrolled you. Carrier delivery delays can affect when an instruction reaches us.
Availability and responsible use
Transportation depends on available volunteers and dispatch confirmation. Do not assume a ride is assigned until dispatch confirms it. Treat patients, families, and other volunteers respectfully, and keep transportation information confidential. Messages may be delayed or unavailable because of carrier, network, or service conditions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy and updates
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we collect and how we use and protect it. We may revise these terms and publish a new version on this page. A change in terms does not expand your SMS consent; materially different messaging requires appropriate new consent.
Contact
Contact the Chesed Tosh dispatcher who is assisting you. Public contact details and the legal organization name are awaiting confirmation before launch.
